So, The Young Rapper Actually Faked His Death!
Before Rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, faked his death, some couple of weeks ago; T4T knew little or nothing about him. And when the news of his ‘death’ broke, T4T tried to do some findings about him. He still could not find anything meaningful. But now, T4T knows him. So, at least, Oladips has ‘achieved’ something with that stunt, even though it will not have any impact on his stunted music career.
However, Oladips has apologised to Nigerians for the fake death stunt pulled by his management. So sweet of him as if he was not part of the grand design to fool Nigerians because he wanted to release a new song or gain some publicity capital. But sadly, he is trying so hard at the moment, to throw his so called management under the bus.
The artiste expressed regrets for ‘the confusion’ (created by his management), stressing that it was ‘never a prank’; even as he claimed he was ‘very sick’.
In an interview with a radio station in Lagos recently, Oladips said, “To Nigerians and my core followers, I will never play with people’s emotions like that. It was never a prank. I was sick, sick. I am really sorry for the confusion, the false alarm and everything. I take full responsibility.”
T4T asked a police friend during the week if he should not be arrested for that expensive prank. This was what he said: “Arrest him for what na, wetin im achieve las las? Blow, im nor blow weda im fake im death or not. He will have to fake his death many times over before he can be a Davido or Whiz Kid or even Rema, so why waste time with such a clown?”
Case closed!
The Rabbi’s New Look
FOR quite some time now, T4T had not set eyes on his friend, Nollywood star, Ejike Asiegbu, popularly called Rabbi, in the movie industry. So, he decided to call. T4T called, he did not pick up and then decided to leave a message on WhatsApp for him. About a minute after, Asiegbu called back on video and when his rather massive face filled the screen of T4T’s iPad, it only took a man’s courage for T4T not to take flight even though he was in the comfort of his living room.
The Rabbi’s beards were all grey (‘white’) and full. His head a clean plate; only one thing was left to complete the image of a true Rabbi-the skull cap real Rabbis wear!
Well, Ejike Asiegbu had for years now been called a Rabbi, so it is only right for him to live up to the name. Ride on Rabbi.
Is It Not Time For Blackky To Move On With ‘Rosie’?
Once upon a time reggae music star, Blackky, did a monster hit, titled, Rosie, which should be almost three decades ago, almost. Rosie was the toast of all parties and clubs’ dance halls then. Like all hit songs, Rosie quietly gave way for other hits. But Blackky nor wan gree say Rosie don go rest, forever.
Everyday of Blackky’s life on Social Media, he relieves the song. If he is not vibing to it in his car, he is doing an alcapela version while praising the song himself. Bros Blackky, yes, the song was the bomb decades ago, but the kids of this generation no even sabi Rosie. So, T4T will advise our dear own Blackky to find one of the stars of this era, like Davido, Whiz Kid, Rema and make sure Don Jazzy’s voice and production input are brought on board, do a remix of Rosie and serve this ‘gban gban didi’ generation since you no wan allow Rosie to rest in ‘peace’, because everyday you dey worry Rosie online so. And sadly, nobody dey even send you because you don’t get more than one comment and in most cases, na only you dey comment and ‘like’ the videos sef.
Awawi: English Or Yoruba Movie?
T4T got home that humid evening and for want of something to do, tuned in to the Yoruba movie channel on Pay TV. A movie, Awawi, was on. T4T decided to settle in and watch. 15 minutes into the movie, T4T had to double check if the channel was actually on Yoruba movie. It was. So, why were all the actors, for over 15 minutes speaking English language like they were acting one of those Nollywood (English) movies?
Produced by Tolulope Elijah, the 2022 flick featuring Bukunmi Oluwashina, Kiki Bakare among others, Awawi came across not as a Yoruba movie, but another average Nollywood production. T4T had said this repeatedly to Yoruba movie producers; produce a Yoruba movie or don’t produce any movie. You can’t call a movie a Yoruba one, yet the actors spoke 70 per cent of English all through! Haba!
After about 45 minutes into Awawi, T4T had to change the channel. It is better to go and watch a Nollywood (English) instead of one pretending to be it.
