The entrepreneurial journey of Trillbjm
Benjamin Oyemonlan Oseoje, popularly called Trillbjm, is an accomplished individual in Africa’s financial technology sector. This seasoned software engineer and entrepreneur has in his short time in the blockchain and FinTech space carved a niche for himself as one of the most innovative ‘chief technical officer’ in Africa.
Trillbjm is a degree holder in computer science from the University of Lagos. He is teased to be a computer nerd, which has been published by several media outlets due to his unending appetite to brainstorm, tackle and initiate ways to solve the problems facing humanity using technology.
From 2018 to 2020, the youthful CEO and tech guru also added another couple of degrees in computer systems networking and telecommunications from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s degree in computer science from the University of the People, USA, to his already overflowing educational background. As if that wasn’t enough, Trillbjm went up a notch to seal his portfolio with a “Certification, Building a Start-up” from NEXFORD University in 2021.
Trillbjm started as an IT consultant with Apex Cosy, a company based in Nigeria. From there he moved to become the software engineer for Skylar Inc, then to Microsoft where he served as an associate software developer in 2017.
Trillbjm, in 2018, was appointed the chief technology officer of Patricia Technologies, an alternative payment solutions company that facilitates the easy use of cryptocurrencies for everyday transactions including Gloverapp, Nigeria’s leading gift card exchanger, Hankdevice, a Bluetooth product for locating lost devices and Rooomxix, a luxury wear store.
In 2020, Trillbjm, co-founded BillerPay Africa, a crypto payment platform, and Nigeria Fashionnova, among other enterprises.
In 2021, Trillbjm was conferred with the status of ECOWAS Youth Ambassador for his laudable antecedents of dedication, hard work and diligence in the area of service to humanity. This honour is directly linked to his commendable works as an advocate and relentless crusader of promoting entrepreneurship for African Youths.
Similarly, he was also presented a certificate for the Nelson Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity, for his great effort as a man of high repute, serial entrepreneur and hardworking and goal-oriented personality with great interest in youth development and empowerment.
There’s still so much more to expect from the tech wiz. Speaking on the bootcamp for African tech leaders held in Museum of The Future in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he was pictured with a robot as shown in his Instagram page, Trillbjm said, “I envisaged, we have not seen it yet. The future is still so much bigger than the past. Everybody has to be able to participate in a future that they want to live for. That’s what technology can do.”
