This generation is all about technology , street promotion has lost its relevance – Singer Startimes
Music promotions are key factors that determine the success of musicians. The more their music can reach the masses the more success they’re likely to achieve as singers.
Some promotions done by musicians include street, radio and TV promotions.
Nigerian singer, Nnaji Victor Chidiebere, popularly known as Startimes believes radio, television and online promotions contribute more to the success of musicians than street promotions.
Afrobeats musician, Startimes held that street promotion used to be the surest means to make artists popular.
He said in recent times, the growth of technology has transformed the system, giving online greater edge over others.
“Today, our songs can travel to different countries in minutes and you’ll get instant feedback from listeners worldwide. These are parts of the things that cannot be achieved with street promotions,” he disclosed.
“Soon, musicians will stop street promotions because people who play songs on streets can now access them online. They can get the latest music and discover new talents there.
“We will have to stop paying street promoters, online is now doing their job well,” the Nonstop Record musician added.
Startime concluded that change is always constant, and this generation is all about technology.
