Transcorp symbolically lights up Christmas

The yearly event, which took place last week at the foyer where a gigantic Christmas tree stood, is one of the activities highly anticipated by friends and guests of the hotel.
 

 
Before the ceremonial lighting, the General Manager of the hotel, Mr. Kevin Bret, commended the guests for staying with the hotel amidst the global economic situation, he attributed the ability of the hotel to remain in business to loyal customers and guests.
  
Bret, however, pledged the hotel’s commitment to creating values and ensuring that customer service delivery continuously exceeds expectations. He noted that the lighting of the Christmas tree as a way of ushering in the season is very dear to the staff and management of the hotel. Noting that Christmas is all about love and everyone should show love to those around them. He said: “Lighting of the Christmas tree is dear to us. With Christmas approaching, it is time to spread love.”
  
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Office, Dupe Olusola, conveyed the management’s appreciation to customers for their unalloyed support and patronage in the course of the year. She also expressed the importance attached to the ceremony as a way of bringing families and guests together for the celebration of love, which Christmas symbolises.
  
While canvassing strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols by customers and guests, she assured that the hotel would do everything necessary to comply with global measures towards curtailing the spread of the virus.
  
The Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ramatu Tijani-Aliu, while commending Transcorp Hotel for joining FCT government in beautifying the city, pledged collaboration with the hospitality outfit in lighting up the lives of residents at Yuletide.

The Director, Abuja Metropolitan Music Society (AMEMUSO), also known as OperaAbuja, Pastor Dayo-Benjamin Laniye, gave the words of exaltation. She reminded the gathering about the personality of Jesus Christ, whose birth is celebrated at Christmas.

 
While calling for peace in the country, she noted that it is only through the love of self, neighbour and the country that desired peace and unity can be achieved.”
  
The highlight of the day was the official lighting of the Christmas tree by the management of the hotel. Meanwhile, the AMEMUSO Choir was on hand to entertain guests with Christmas carols.
