Evang. Omoru passes on

The death has occurred of Evangelist Amos Anyibieu Omoru of Orogun Kingdom, Delta State, at the age of 92.Renowned for his evangelical works and services, the nonagenarian was said to have passed on peacefully in his country home, Igbuku-Orogun, on December 2, 2017.

In a statement released by Chris Erhi Omoru, on behalf of the family, Pa Omoru was described as a devout Christian, who spent his life time on the evangelical field, having been in the vanguard of the formation of the Anglican Adam Preaching Society (AAPS), famous for the spread of the gospel of Christ across Nigeria.

Pa Omoru is survived by his wife, Mrs Beatrice Ufuomanefe Omoru and several children, including Chris Erhi Omoru, a transactional lawyer based in Lagos.
 
“He was a respected church elder in the Anglican Communion, and worked tirelessly for the expansion of the kingdom of God here on earth”, the statement said, adding that “ it is our belief that he will be welcomed home by His maker”, the statement said.Funeral arrangements, according to the statement, will be announced later, after due consultation with the family and church authorities.
