I almost cheated on my spouse.

I walked away from the man I almost slept with because I realised how much I truly loved my spouse.

I made the mistake of telling my spouse about this “almost” incident.

Now, he refuses to talk to me and he wants to separate.

He said he couldn’t look at me the same way anymore.

I didn’t even follow through with cheating on him yet I’m being punished as if I did! How do I get my spouse to forgive me?

And truthfully, I have had no further contact with the “other man” since the incident.

As for my spouse, he is very hurt and I am doing my best to let him have a re-think.

I understand why he is upset and I know he has every right to be angry with me.

I love him so much and the incident is one I will never repeat. It wasn’t worth it.

My family is more important than a one night stand and I would give anything, do anything, to erase the hurt I’ve caused my spouse…
