Come September 10, 2019, the ancient city of Benin will be agog with shouts of celebrations and felicitations when one man and one event will take center-stage. It is the 85th birthday ceremony of no other person than Sir Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom.

The birthday celebration is expected to begin with a Service of Praise/Thanksgiving before the party train shifts to the reception for the entertainment of guests.

Eminent Nigerians expected to grace the soiree include former presidents Goodluck Jonathan, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo; Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and wife, Betsy Obaseki; Justice Esohe Ikponwen; former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana.

On the list also are Dr. Felix Omobude, Superintendent of Gospel Light International Ministries, Otunba Adekunle Ojora and his wife, and Emir of Borgu Kingdom, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Haliru, Danladi Bako and host of others.
