If you’re so much in love with your natural hair or your religious belief kicks against wigs and hair extensions that you prefer to wear, you may want to go extra miles to protect it from breaking due to the harsh weather with the following steps:

• Absolute daily moisturising, using coconut or olive oil preferably. This would add shine and reduce dryness.

• Braid your natural hair  – This would help keep the strands secure and automatically reduce the effect of the harsh weather.

• Drink a lot of water -Water is a key ingredient that supports vitamins, which contribute to not just your hair growth but strengthens it. Research has proven that water makes up almost 25 per cent of the weight of a single strand of hair. This is why drinking at least two liters of water a day will help the strength of your hair and increase growth.

•Avoid shampoos that strip your hair of its natural oils.

• Deep-condition your hair regularly.

. Wear satin scarfs or bonnets
