Following the success of the maiden edition of its nationwide bar staff contests designed to reward exceptional bartenders across Nigeria, Jägermeister has concluded and announced winners of the second edition of its Staff Bartender Contest, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to engaging its target audience while celebrating bartenders who consistently exceed expectations in their craft.

The winners of this edition are Adetayo Akinniyi of MATRIX Lounge, Ibadan, Oyo State and David Ovakpo of Dplug Lounge in Benin City, Edo State; reaffirming the brand’s commitment to engaging its target audience while celebrating bartenders who consistently exceed expectations in their craft.

Akinniyi and Ovakpo surpassed their target and were awarded a cash prize of N8,000,000 in total. Speaking about this success, Akinniyi said, “winning was like mixing the perfect cocktail. Expressing gratitude for recognition and reward, he said this is an unforgettable experience and looks forward to growing his craft.”

Ovakpo stated that he was overjoyed and the recognition of his passion is a motivation to keep up the hard work and creativity. The premium contest embodies the brand’s core message of ‘Meisters Expression’, a culture rooted in honouring excellence and mastery of craft.
