Renowned Music star, Elemide Bukola, professionally known as Asa, has returned to the music scene, with a new 10-track studio album dubbed, V. The project, which is a follow-up to her 2019 studio album, Lucid, also dazzles with guest features from Grammy-winning singer, Wizkid, as well as heavyweights Cavemen, and Amaarae.

Asa, who has an enduring legacy as an alternative singer, with influences from Soul Music, Funk, and Folk Rock, switches up her vibe with this new project, as she delves into an Alternative RnB-heavy persona. The project also sees Asa break her streak of solos, as she unusually chooses to feature other singers on the record.

On V, Asa continues her treatise on human relationships, and love, which have been a main staple of her discography.

On IDG, featuring Wizkid, she expresses her desire to “live in the moment” and remain trusting in God, and her ability to remain resilient despite life’s challenges. Wizkid also dotes the record with a mid-tempo groove, as he talks on vanity, love, and self-motivation.

Asa’s Chemistry with the Cavemen is another pleasure-point on the record, as she maximizes the highlife adherents’ abilities over the hooks and backing vocals on the didactic bop Good Times. With Amaarae, Asa delves into the scene of alternative RnB, sounding more sonorous than ever with lo-fi RnB melodies, alongside the Ghanaian chanteuse.

V soars for its minimalism, and feel-good vibes, while reflecting Asa’s relentless sonic evolution and artistic brilliance. V is out on all digital streaming platforms.
