New kid on the Nigerian music bloc, Boluwatife Oluwafemi Moses, known with the moniker Bolu The Rapper, has taken the centre stage by storm with his confidence and impressive flow.

The 18-year-old cipher who recently graduated from secondary school came into the spotlight after winning a singing talent competition organised by an entertainment outfit, and held at its bar and lounge in Oshodi, with a recording contract for the winner.

Armed with a six-track EP album, titled, Wotilawo, and released under Roppongi Records, a freshly launched Oshodi-Lagos based music label, Bolu seems to have so much musical promise. Many who have listened to him attest that he comes in the mold of late Dagrin, Mohbad and Olamide all in one and also is sure to go places.

Already, a track, titled, Benz, off the EP has become a serenade in Oshodi, as the full album released on music platforms including YouTube is gaining traction.

Speaking on the fresh release, spokesperson for Roppongi Records, Benson Ehiagwina highlighted the huge talents of Bolu, adding that the label waited for the prodigy to turn 18 and graduate from secondary school before signing him on the label. He stated that the fast rising lyricist is sure to go places while disclosing the record label’s huge plans is to ensure that the rapper is heard worldwide.
