Ehigiator Iyobor Egho-Promise: From commercial motorcycle rider to professor
Ehigiator Iyobor Egho-Promise was born into the poor family of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Egho from Ebelle in Edo State of Nigeria. Ehigiator Iyobor Egho-Promise had learning and financial difficulties during his early education. He struggled to become a graduate with little support from his late poor parents and his uncles.
Due to some learning difficulties during his secondary school education, he failed the West African School Certificate Examination conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and had no credit at his first sitting. He was crowned with a disgraceful scholarship academic performance, but such a perplexing failure did not dissuade him. Rather Ehigiator took it as an opportunity to learn harder. His fourth attempted WAEC and General Certificate of Education (GCE) brought him victory.

He also provided guidance and support for students who were his seniors in their final year for a little fee.
Still, on how to survive the financial difficulties encountered by the young Ehigiator, he engaged in the commercial motorcycle business during his studies at the University of Benin, Nigeria. That venture fetched some money which helped him to solve some teething financial problems.
