It was a fun-packed night last week Thursday as national telecommunications company, Globacom, rolled out the drums to celebrate its trade partners.
The operator had a lineup of entertainment heavyweights who treated guests to electrifying performances at the event, tagged “2026 Glo Partners’ Reward Gala”, which was held at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Legendary Nigerian singer and live band maestro, Segun Johnson, spiced up the evening with a huge dose of musical entertainment that kept the audience rocking and vibing.
There was also nonstop laughter from master of ceremony and hilarious comedian, Godwin Komone, popularly known as Gordons, who was ably supported by TV host and brand influencer, Mo Abebe.
Brand influencer, KieKie, also added glamour to the fun-filled evening. Nollywood actor and movie producer, Toyin Aimaku, was also at the event to add colour and ensure a memorable experience for the exclusive show.
The night was not just about talk, food and drinks. It was also a blend of glamour, laughter, and top-tier entertainment. The highlight was the “Rep Your Region” Best Dressed Competition, where some of the partners took to a quick runway experience in stunning attires that promoted rich Nigerian culture. At the end of the very interesting parade, Alamin Muhammed Suleiman of Benjee Communication and Anthonia Agbasi of Chicadef Global Limited emerging winners of the ₦500,000 prize each in the male and female categories.
Globacom organised the even to reward its partners across the country with mouth-watering prizes based on their performance within the first six month of the year and also spur them to a better performance in the years ahead.
A 115 outstanding business partners drawn from all over the country and various trade segments were rewarded with millions of Naira in cash and other prizes for their great performance within the six months period.
While welcoming the guests on behalf of the company, Globacom’s Cluster Head, Lagos 2, Abdul Rasaq Ande, explained that the event was organised to celebrate not just the individuals, but also the synergy, the shared vision, and the collaborative mindset that sparks true innovation.
He added that “Our partners have, over the years been the bedrock of the Globacom ecosystem, and their success is our success.”
Ande said further that “it has been 23 years of technological revolution, innovation and service excellence’, and promised that the company will “continue investing heavily in next-generation tools, upgrading our infrastructure, and ensuring our network stays second to none”.
Globacom also used the occasion to highlight its technical and marketing initiatives intended to ensure optimal services to the customers nationwide. The partners received comprehensive information on its achievements over the past year and new initiatives, including the introduction of Gloria, an AI-powered Glo Café voice assistant, designed to enhance customer engagement and service delivery through six languages for the benefit of the customers.
The company also highlighted its focus on putting more value directly in the pockets of its subscribers by introducing a new suite of consumer offerings, starting with “More Data More Value” which it stated was designed to ensure that every Naira spent by a Nigerian consumer yields the highest possible digital return, thus reinforcing Globacom’s long-standing reputation for affordability and empowerment.
“There is also the “Borrow Me Credit” service, a strategic initiative which has been expanded to ensure that no subscriber is ever disconnected due to a low or zero balance. The Glo Café is also being reinvigorated to ensure unique online experiences for millions of Glo Subscribers.” The company added.
It was an evening filled with joy, camaraderie, and appreciation, a fitting tribute to excellence and partnership.
Several business partners went home with mouth watering gifts, as part of their prizes. Keys to brand new vehicles, including Suzuki Alto, Kia Rion Toyota Corolla and Toyta Camry were presented to those partners who excelled in various categories.
The evening’s highest award, the Top National Partner Star Prize, was awarded to Demi Global Resources, which drove home a brand-new 2026 Toyota Camry in recognition of its outstanding performance and contribution to Globacom’s success nationwide.
