Mr. Ibu, Duncan Mighty, Efe, others to ignite Lagos with Maconi Music Festival

Lagos will tomorrow come alive, as music and comedy take centre stage at this year’s Maconi Music Festival, an event conceived as an avenue to celebrate Nigerians and get all lovers of good music and comedy to experience a memorable night out.

According to the organisers, Nollywood actor and popular comedians, John Okafor well known as Mr. Ibu, Chiwetalu Agu and Big Brother Season 2 winner, Efe, will join Port Harcourt Boy crooner, Duncan Mighty, Ruff Coin, Okon Imeh, MC Pashun, Apama Egbeigwe, and Yaw among others for the one-day musical festival, scheduled to hold at the Villa Park Hotels & Suites, Amuwo Odofin, Festac, Lagos.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations Manager for the festival, Mr. Alexander Kalu-Okoronkwo, the organisers hope to use the occasion in conjunction with partners to reward brand loyalty, adding that the event would also serve as a platform to showcase upcoming artistes and harness their talents for stardom.

Executive Producer, Jammflag Global Resources Limited, Mr. Uchenna Ukaegbu and co-producer, Chief Emmanuel Utah has promised to use the opportunity to encourage Nigerian youths and motivate them to discover their talents and harness it for nation building.

Supported by The Goodfather Ent. Limited, Kingston Jo, Spice Garden Hotel Lagos, Nobis, Maconi Wine and Orange Resort Centre, Calabar, the event would feature dancing competitions, cash prizes and free wines among others.
