With a commitment to making music lovers have a great time, Spotify is leveling up with Jam, a personalised, real-time listening session for any group to tune in together.
Over the years, Spotify has evolved to make listening to music with friends better than ever. From Blend to Collaborative Playlists, sharing music has never been easier.
Now, with Jam, everyone can add their favourite tracks to a shared queue, using their phones without missing a beat. From family cookouts to cocktail parties, anytime that friends get together, Spotify says Jam is there to help make listening together better.
According to the platform, a premium user starts the Jam, as the host, from a track or playlist that friends are excited about.
The host invites their friends- free or premium users by tapping phones together (Bluetooth must be enabled), scanning a QR code on the host’s phone, or receiving a link through social, text, SMS, and more.
Everyone in the Jam will be able to add songs to the shared queue and see who’s added what.
Additionally, using Spotify’s personalisation technology, everyone will receive recommendations based on the group’s listening preferences. What more,
The order of the tracks can be rearranged, or songs removed if it doesn’t fit the vibe.
The hosts have the ultimate control so they can manage the queue on their own, or have guests help them out. With Jam, music lovers can connect through the artists and songs that unite friends, and discover some unexpected gems with those around.
