For those who were impressed with her directorial input on Breaded Life, A Simple Lie, Big Love becomes that one movie that ups the ante for Stephen, and for Nollywood, ultimately.
The romantic comedy, which is Inkblot Productions, FilmOne Entertainment and Shutterspeed Project, stars Ademoye as Adina, Egbuson as Adil, Jaye Kuti – Kafil (Adil’s mum), Seyi Awolowo as Lade (Adil’s cousin)
Teniola Aladese – Karen (Adina’s friend), Shaffy Bello-Kareema (Kafil’s Sister), Kalu Ikeagwu – Bako(Adil’s dad), Deza The Great – Amir (Adil’s brother), and Jedediah – Jayden (Bimbo’s son). It is directed by Biodun Stephen.
At a graduate training camp, Adil, a passionate young guy chasing his ambitions, and Adina, a determined and independent lady scraping by, fall in love. Adina’s insecurities and that one secret that could end everything is met by Adil’s grand and real love. Is their love strong enough to conceal a deception?
During a conversation with The Guardian during the project’s premiere at the Film House Lekki, in Lagos, Ms. Ademoye said that despite portraying love leads in films with Egbuson, Big Love wasn’t a rehash, but rather a unique endeavour.
“With Timini, you don’t have to carry over anything with him he’s a bad boy. Timini gives the right energy and gives a different type of feel to each project,” she stated.
Asked about her love language, she said: “My love language is gifts; I love being gifted, it doesn’t have to be expensive. You could give me a pen, it’s the spirit behind it that matters; not the amount. I also love giving gifts as well.
Speaking on her time on set, she said: “My time on set was spectacular; Biodun Stephen and Inkblot did an amazing job, making sure that we were all comfortable. I will gladly go back and do it again if I have the opportunity. My role was fun, the only challenge was playing the role of a single mom.
For the producer of the film, Chinaza Onuzo: “Times are hard, you have to love- don’t make war, make love so, we like looking at exploring ways that Nigerians fall in love, and with Timini and Bimbo you can’t go wrong.
