All roads lead to Amore Gardens, in Lekki, today, as the sophomore edition of Summerfiesta opens to thousands of registered partygoers. 

Billed to showcase their energetic sets today include the female twin Disc Jockey duo, Wanni x Handi, alongside their EDM/House music contemporaries Calix, as well as Maze x Mxtreme, among other thriving sensations in Lagos’ bustling nightlife community.

Famed for its Caribbean influence of hosting full-day and full-night parties, Summerfiesta sprung in the post-pandemic era as a graceful breath of fresh air in Lagos’ summer party season. 
  
With an enigmatic backdrop of events including mosh pits, visual art performances, music performances, group games, and confetti showers, among others, it has risen in ranks as one of the most anticipated parties in the city, annually. 

“We’re trying to make the most out of what we have, which is community. Despite our differences and challenges, Nigerians, especially young people, tend to euphemistically enjoy their moments together. We created Summerfiesta to encourage that togetherness, and we decided to take cues from other cultures to see how best we can come together and have fun. It’s not as easy as regular concerts or other popular party experiences; so we had to put our backs into it to ensure that we achieve the most impact,” Summerfiesta’s founder, Serbia Wilson, told Weekend Beats.
