PEFTI Begins Registration Into Ibadan Campus

Committed to service its viewers more better and expand its viewership, family entertainment TV channel, wapTV has announced that from January 2020, there would be fresh episodes of its comedy skits – General Hospital, Mr. & Mrs., Sharp Sharp, Okafor the Steward, People’s Court, and The Gate.

The Managing Director of the TV channel, Wole Adenuga said, “From the outstanding success of our Akpan & Oduma, it is evident that these comedy skits which we play between programmes are really enjoyed by our audiences on TV and our YouTube channel – waptvchannel. Our viewers already know there is no dull moment on wapTV and we take it as our duty to continue providing them with the very best family entertainment in 2020 and beyond.”

Since the launched TV channel in 2012, it has become a family-favourite due to its wide range of contents, which includes the afore-mentioned programmes as well as other contents produced by Wale Adenuga Productions such as Superstory, Papa Ajasco Reloaded, The Babington Family, This Life, Nnenna & Friends, and Binta My Daughter, as well as popular Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, and English Nigerian Movies; Soap Operas from Brazil, Spain, and India, and contents by top Independent Nigerian TV Producers including Stand Up Nigeria, Tales of Eve, Raptunes, Foodies & Spice, Video Wheels, Red Carpet Vibes, Boys Can Cook, and Teju Babyface Show; among other programmes.

The TV channel through its extensive network consisting of several satellite TV platforms including DStv 262, StarTimes 116, GOtv 102, StarSat 189, PlayTV 275, TStv 223, and MyTV is a favourite of millions of families across Nigeria, and several parts of Africa.

Meanwhile, in its effort to strengthen the capacity building of youths within and around Oyo State, renowned training institute, PEFTI Film Institute has announced the commencement of registration for admission into its newly established campus Ibadan, with lectures commencing on April 1, 2020.

Commenting on the development, Managing Director of the institute, Abiola Adenuga, said the institution has received large number of applications from residents in Ibadan and nearby cities since the commencement of registration on January 27.

“This is because they know PEFTI’s long history of providing classroom and practical field training to enable creative people get high-paying jobs, and/or start their own production companies. “Intending students are advised to hurry to our campus, or visit www.pefti.tv, and register as there are limited slots available; especially with the ongoing bonanza on fees which makes it very affordable for all,” she stated.

Adenuga explained that the institute, which is approved by Federal Ministry of Education, offers two-year National Diploma in Film and TV production, performing and media arts, and music technology, in addition to three and six months professional practical training in script-writing, acting and presentation, costume and makeup, digital photography, cinematography, film editing, music, choreography, producing and production management, and directing; as well as a wide range of skill acquisition programs.
