MBS rewards excellence with scholarship scheme

After upping its pool of scholarship beneficiaries to 21 from 15 students, the Mind Builders School (MBS), Lagos State, says it would continue to discharge its corporate social responsibilities diligently as a way of encouraging academic excellence, and assisting parents in financing their children’s education.

The principal of the school, Mrs. Olatunbode Olufunmilayo, who gave names of the latest awardees as Bakare Enitan; Aderogba Farid Ademide; Uzowanne Otitodilichukwu; Fayemi Olufunke; Kpesu Oghenetega, and Ekesi Daisy Eweren, said the beneficiaries were picked based on their exceptional performance in the school’s entrance examinations. The award is to run through their stay in the school. She stressed that the scholarship scheme is aimed at promoting and rewarding excellence while providing a solid foundation for brilliant students.

The management of the school in announcing the scholarship awards valued at N9m, said six of its new students would have part of their tuition fees covered throughout their secondary education. MBS commenced operations as a nursery and primary school in January 1998 and opened its High School in September 2008. Since then the school has opened annexes in different parts of Lagos State.
