Amalgamated Team hits Puncher 3-1 on road to Onikan
•Friday Ekpo, Victor Agali ‘At War’
Amalgamated Team, yesterday, humiliated the Punch team ahead of today’s novelty match slated for Onikan Stadium, Lagos.
In the warm up match played at the Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Lagos, yesterday, the Amalgamated team, comprising The Guardian, Vanguard, Tribune, Telegraph and Business Day scored three goals before Punch team pulled one back.
Speaking ahead of the novelty game between the Punchers and Media Amalgamated, ex-international, Victor Agali, who is the coach of the Amalgamated team, warned that the Punch team would get a rude shock today.
For weeks, the Punch team has been threatening to humiliate the Media Amalgamated team.
Agali, alongside another ex-international, Friday Ekpo called on Nigerians to troop out in large numbers to watch today’s explosive game at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
While Ekpo, a member of the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations bronze medallist is the handler of Punchers, Agali is in charge of Media Amalgamated.
Meanwhile, Team Manager of the Media Amalgamated, Templer Olaiya, is sure of victory against the Punchers.
