Bayern to face Moenchengladbach in German Cup

Bayern Munich face Borussia Moenchengladbach away in the second round of the German Cup after Sunday's draw threw up a plum all-Bundesliga tie.

Bayern Munich faces Borussia Moenchengladbach away in the second round of the German Cup after Sunday’s draw threw up a plum all-Bundesliga tie.

Bayern romped to a 12-0 thrashing of fifth-tier minnows Bremer on Wednesday in their first-round tie having drawn 1-1 at Gladbach when the sides opened the Bundesliga season a fortnight ago.

Cup holders Borussia Dortmund face second-division Ingolstadt when the second-round ties take place on October 26 and 27.

Babelsberg from the fourth-tier of German football drew last season’s cup runners-up Leipzig.
