Cristiano Ronaldo has handed a list of transfer demands to Real Madrid officials outlining where he believes they need to improve ahead of next season, according to Diaro Gol.

Real Madrid have been far from their best this season and currently sit 14 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona. As a result, the club are planning a major overhaul of the squad this summer in which several marquee names could be targeted.

As the undisputed king of the Bernabeu, Ronaldo has told the club which positions he thinks need to be strengthened and expects Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane to respond accordingly.

First, Ronaldo does not believe Kiko Casilla or Keylor Navas have the required ability to play for Real Madrid and wants the club to sign two top-level goalkeepers to replace them.

Athletic Bilbao ‘keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has long been linked with a move to the capital, but Ronaldo also wants a world-class acquisition with Thibaut Courtois and David de Gea both considered adequate

Next, Ronaldo wants Zidane to improve his strength in depth at the back. While he is happy with Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal, he does not think Jesus Vallejo or Nacho are worthy back-up options.

Unsurprisingly, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has also stressed his belief that Real Madrid do not require any star names in attack and is keen to guard against the arrival of a player who may steal his thunder.

Perez is always looking to sign the world’s best attacking players and the club have duly been credited with an interest in Harry Kane, Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi.

Ronaldo is unlikely to accept a new team-mate if they are considered his replacement, however, as he prepares to turn 33 next month, the club are certainly on the lookout for their next star man who can live up to his billing.
