Danjuma picks final squad for FIFA U-20 Women World Cup
Falconets Coach, Christopher Danjuma has named a 21-woman team for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup, which will hold in France from August 5 to 24.
The list is made up of three goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and five strikers.
The goalkeepers in the team are Okeke Onyinyechukwu (Edo Queens); Nnadozie Chiamaka (Rivers Angels); and Akarekor Rita (Sunshine Queens), while Ogbonna Glory (Ibom Angels); Famuditi Oluwakemi (Confluence Queens); Duru Joy (Nasarawa Amazons); Ologbosere Mary (Rivers Angels); Sunday Opeyemi (Sunshine Queens); and Ezekiel Blessing (Rivers Angels) are the defenders.
The midfielders include Saiki Mary (Rivers Angels); Ucheibe Christy (Nasarawa Amazons); Efih Peace (Edo Queens); Saheed Adebisi (Bayelsa Queens); Amoo Bashirat (Confluence Queens); Igboamalu Grace (Nasarawa Amazons); Odueke Taibat (Edo Queens), while Monday Gift (FC Robo); Ajibade Rasheedat (FC Robo); Imo Anam (Nasarawa Amazons); Okeke Chidinma ([FC Robo); and Bello Aishat (Nasarawa Amazons) are the attackers in the squad.
The Falconets are in Austria perfecting their strategies for the competition and are expected to hit France this weekend.
