Deaf Eagles hammer Cote d’Ivoire 3-0 in WADSU opener

The Senior National Deaf Football team, Deaf Eagles, yesterday, defeated Cote d’Ivoire 3-0 in the opening game of the 13th West Africa Deaf Football tournament.
 
All the goals were scored in the second half after both teams failed to find the back of the net in the first half.
 
Having reached the final ten times in the past and won the trophy five times, the Deaf Eagles were marvellous in the game watched by a scanty crowd at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
 
Today, Liberia will tackle Togo by 9.00 a.m. in their first Group B game, while Nigeria will face Gambia at 4.00 a.m. in a Group A match.
