Former Super Eagles coach, Christian Chukwu, has declared that Dream Team coach, Samson Siasia and his players need to deplore more tactical discipline to beat the German U-23 team when both countries meet in the semi final encounter of the Rio Olympics football event.

Chukwu, who admitted that the cracker would be a tough game for the Dream Team, told The Guardian yesterday that the Nigerian side needed to raise the standard of their game to secure victory against the Germans.

Having watched some of the games of Germany, the one time Eagles captain, advised Siasia to use the best players in his arsenal to curtail the antics of the Germans who are high scoring team.

The former Harambee Stars of Kenya manager submitted that the Dream Team has the chance to win gold in the football event if the players can secure victory in the semifinal.

He however urged the players to avoid any form of complacency in the tie, saying that the boys should approach the match with commitment.“The game against Germany will be tough. All the Dream Team needs to do is to prepare well for the all-important match. You should realize that in a competition like this, as the team moves on they will face tougher challenges. Coach Siasia should caution the boys not to make silly mistakes in the game. I think he must have also studied the German team to understand the area to run them down. Winning the tie depends on the players resilience,’’ he said.
