Enyimba versus Rangers: Super Six play-off kicks off next week in Lagos

Oriental neighbours, Enyimba of Aba and Enugu Rangers will kick off this year’s Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) Super Six Championship in Lagos on June 4, the League Management Company (LMC) has announced.

Rangers won Group A of the abridged league, while Enyimba placed third behind Lobi Stars of Makurdi. But this competition is the real deal as the winner will be crowned Nigerian champions for the 2018/2019 season. The game kicks off by 3.00 p.m.

The second match of the day will see former champions, Kano Pillars tackling Group B winners, Akwa United, while the last game of the day will pit FC Ifeanyi Ubah against Lobi Stars.

Two days later, Akwa United will open the proceedings will a game against FC Ifeanyi Ubah, which will be followed by Rangers meeting Lobi Stars and Kano Pillars against Enyimba in that order.

On Saturday, which is the matchday three, Kano Pillars will tackle FC IfeanyiUbah by 3.00 p.m., followed by the duel between Enyimba and Lobi Stars, while Enugu Rangers will meet Akwa United vin the last game of the day.

On June 12, it will be the turn of the Anambra Warriors, FC IfeanyiUbah, against Enugu Rangers with Enyimba battling with Akwa United and Lobi Stars against Kano Pillars.

The winners and second team after the play-off scheduled for the Agege Stadium, will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League, while the third placed team will play in the CAF Confederation Cup.
