European clubs show interest in Flying Eagles defender Benjamin Frederick
Belgian top side Anderlecht, RB Leipzig from Germany, and Danish side Midtjylland have been linked with Flying Eagles defender Benjamin Frederick.
This is according to Italian journalist and transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
Frederick featured for the Flying Eagles, who finished third at this year’s CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
His brilliant performance for the Ladan Bosso-led side, has attracted interest from European clubs.
And Romano confirmed the interest on his Twitter handle on Friday.
“Nigerian 17-year old defender Benjamin Fredrick is now attracting interest around Europe as Anderlecht, RB Leipzig and Midtjylland are tracking him,” he wrote.
“Fredrick was one of the stand out players in U-20 African Cup this month, now represented by CAA Base.”
Frederick is expected to be part of the Flying Eagles squad that will feature at this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia.
Newly crowned U-20 AFCON champions Senegal, The Gambia, and Tunisia will also represent Africa at the World Cup.
