Ex-Chelsea star discovers wife’s ex fathered twins he raised
Former Chelsea and Cameroon midfielder Geremi Njitap has filed for divorce after discovering that the two children he raised were fathered by his wife’s ex.
The Sun reports that the couple’s twins were born after Njitap wife Laure had a sexual relationship with her ex.
Court documents in Cameroon say that the former Chelsea player’s wife ‘destroyed the harmony’ of their marriage ‘through her abject behaviour’.
It was also stated that she repeatedly lied and that ‘no children have been born’ in her union with the two-time AFCON winner.
Njitap is said to have experienced a huge emotional shock following the discovery.
His wife had claimed that the twins, who were born in June 2008 (four years before their marriage), were his, which
motivated them to go into marriage with her.
The former Chelsea star has now been left devastated by the revelations, saying that his wife psychologically damaged him.
During his active career, Njitap also featured for Real Madrid where he won the Champions League.
Aside helping Cameroon to two AFCON titles, he was part of the Cameroonian team that won gold in the football event of the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
