Falcon Golf Development secures top sponsors for WCGC 2024
RwandAir, a fast-rising giant in the aviation industry, along with Suzuki and soft drinks giant Aquafina, has announced its sponsorship of this year’s World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC). This annual event, organised by Falcon Golf Development Company, promises to be an unforgettable experience for all participants, taking place on June 15-16th at the prestigious Ikoyi Club 1938, Golf Section.
In a remarkable display of support, RwandAir is providing two business class return tickets to Kigali while Suzuki is offering a brand-new Suzuki Ertiga car for a hole-in-one on Hole-13. Aquafina, as a co-sponsor, will refresh all participants throughout the tournament. Additionally, Flour Mills of Nigeria will be providing breakfast and lunch with their delicious Golden Penny pasta and spaghetti. Long-time supporter Singleton has also reaffirmed its commitment to the event.
The Chief Executive Officer of Falcon Golf Development Company, Remi Olukoya, has promised a memorable tournament.
He said: “We promise every participant a great outing, even as we will continue to do all we can to make the event better. This competition offers every golfer the opportunity not just to showcase themselves but their business as well while representing their country at the world finals.”
The event will be officially teed off by His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III), the Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, on Saturday morning, with the support of the Commissioner for Transportation in Lagos State, Seun Osiyemi. The Chairman of Ikoyi Club 1938, Tarfa Aliu and the Captain of the Golf Section, and host Tade Adekunle will make the unique fourballs.
Olukoya also highlighted the unique opportunity for this year’s winner.
“This year’s edition is special because the winner will represent Nigeria at the world final in the famed Mission Hills Golf Resort in Haikou, China,” he said.
“Joining the list of prestigious sponsors are Meristem, a leading wealth management company, and Foreshore Towers, a property development company with developments at Banana Island, Lekki, Ikoyi axis; Banwo & Ighodalo, a leading Corporate & Commercial Legal firm, and Spar Markets, who are also providing us with breakfast packs for all participants, all of which will play a crucial role in enhancing the event’s success.”
