After ten days of preparations in Trzebnica, Nigeria’s women U20 team, Falconets, is set for their opening fixture against European giants, Spain, at the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
  
The Nigerians arrive in Katowice, Poland, on Thursday and checked into the Novotel Katowice Centrum as preparations enter the final stretch for Monday’s Group F encounter against Spain.
  
The Falconets spent 10 days in Trzebnica, where Head Coach Moses Aduku and his technical crew focused on tactical organisation, technical execution, physical conditioning and team cohesion.
  
The camp also provided the players the opportunity to acclimatise to the Polish environment and build match sharpness ahead of the global tournament.
  
As part of their final preparations, Nigeria played two international friendly matches, recording a 1-0 victory over hosts Poland before drawing 1-1 with Korea Republic.  Mary Mamudu scored the winning goal against Poland and was again on target against Korea Republic, giving the Falconets a positive return from their two warm-up games.
