Super Eagles

The Europe-based Super Eagles players will fly direct to Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, from their various bases ahead of the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has clarified.

The Cheetahs will host the Super Eagles in their adopted Abidjan home base on November 14 at the Stade Felix-Houphouet-Boigny.

NFF”S Media Director, Ademola Olajire, told The Guardian, yesterday, that the players are expected to arrive in the Ivoirian capital on November 11 November to join their home-based counterparts and staff of the federation, who are expected to arrive a day earlier.

The NFF has invited 23 players for the clash, which will cement Super Eagles’ passage to the continental showpiece billed to hold in Morocco, next year if the team gets a draw.

After the game in Abidjan, the Eagles are expected to leave immediately for Uyo to begin preparations for their last qualifying game against the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Akwa Ibom Stadium on November 18.

Nigeria tops Group D of the qualifying series and will stamp their ticket to the championship with a draw in Abidjan.
