Nigerian international Moses Simon is set to join Ligue 1 newcomers Paris FC after successfully completing a medical, paving the way for a €7 million move from FC Nantes.
According to French daily L’Équipe, Simon, 29, is expected to sign a three-year contract with the capital club in the coming days, ending a five-year stint at Nantes where he has been a key figure in the squad.
The versatile winger, who can also operate as a centre forward, played a crucial role in helping Les Canaris avoid relegation and featured in back-to-back Coupe de France finals in 2022 and 2023 — with the club lifting the trophy in the first of those campaigns.
Paris FC, recently promoted to Ligue 1 for the first time in 46 years, are seeking to bolster their squad with top-flight experience. Simon’s acquisition signals the club’s ambition to compete at the highest level and ensure stability in their return to the elite division.
The club has also been linked with Congolese defender Chancel Mbemba, who will become a free agent at the end of June following the expiry of his contract with Olympique de Marseille.
Simon’s move will mark another chapter in a career that has seen the Nigerian star play in Belgium, Spain and France, and could be pivotal for Paris FC as they prepare for a challenging Ligue 1 campaign.
