Guardiola: Premiership title race over if Man City lose to Liverpool
Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola, has said that the English Premier League title race will be effectively over if his side lose their game against Liverpool this weekend.

Ange Postecoglou’s side stunned Pep Guardiola and his team by winning 4-0 against the Premier League winners.
Questions have been raised whether Man City and Guardiola can challenge for the league title this season.
Arne Slot’s Liverpool side are currently the favourites to win the league and they extended their lead to eight points over Man City with a 3-2 defeat of Southampton, yesterday.
Speaking after the defeat against Tottenham, the Man City manager was asked about his opinion if his side lose against Slot’s team next week.
“Yeah, it’s true,” he said, as reported by ESPN. “We’re not thinking about winning or losing (the title), we are not in the situation to think about what is going to happen at the end of the season.
“If in the end we don’t win it’s because we don’t deserve it. We won it in the past because we deserved it. What we have to do now is (beat) Feyenoord. That is the most important thing — first for the qualification for the Champions League — and step-by-step the players will be better.”
Man City were favourites to win the league title again this season, but they have been stunned by Liverpool’s form under Slot this season.Anfield will be absolutely buzzing for the visit of Guardiola’s side, and as expected, a win for Liverpool will end City’s chances of winning the league despite the season being less than halfway through.
