President of the Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF), Mrs Olabisi Temitope Joseph, was, yesterday in Belgrade, Serbia, elected as the International School Sport Federation (ISF) Continental President for Africa.

The election, which was part of the 2026 ISF General Assembly, was attended by 82 delegates, with 79 members from across the world voting to elect new officers for the body.

According to NSSF Secretary General, Dr. Oba Funsho Usman, the election has made Mrs Joseph the first woman in Africa and the first in ISF history to attain this prestigious continental position.

Usman said: “This historic achievement is a testament to Nigeria’s growing leadership and influence in school sports development across Africa and the world.”
