Leicester in talks with Ndidi over new contract
Leicester City has confirmed that they are in talks with Super Eagles’ midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi regarding his future with them.
“The club remains in discussion with midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi regarding his future beyond the expiration of his current contract this month,” the Foxes wrote on their official website.

Ndidi played a starring role as Leicester got promoted to the Premier League last season after spending just one year playing in the English Sky Bet Championship.
He unexpectedly took on a new role and delivered well last season, scoring goals and coming up with assists as he helped Leicester’s promotion and win the Championship.

Renowned for his layback defensive capabilities, former Leicester coach, Enzo Maresca saw beyond what other previous managers chose to take in about the ability of the former KRC Genk star.
Maresca pushed Ndidi into a more advanced role and he excellently delivered to the delight of the Foxes’ former manager.
The 27-year-old scored six goals and registered six assists in 36 matches across all competitions during the 2023/24 season.
He has also been a key figure in Leicester’s midfield since his arrival from Genk in the winter of 2017.
The Nigerian international has also made over 200 appearances for the Foxes from his seven-and-a-half-year spell.
