Lookman included in Serie A Team of The Year

Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, has been named in the Serie A Team of The Year by Whoscored.com following his heroics for Atalanta BC and Nigeria’s national team.

Lookman is the only player from the Orobics who made the cut for the Gian Piero Gasperini side.

The year 2024 was a memorable one for the former Everton forward as he was part of the Super Eagles team that secured silver for the nation’s male national team in Ivory Coast in the AFCON where Lookman scored three goals for the team with one assist.

Lookman’s goal-scoring prowess did not stop in the AFCON as he was superb against Bayer Leverkusen in the final of Europa Cup Final where he grabbed himself a hat-trick against Leverkusen and compatriot, Victor Boniface.

He was the only African named in the 2024 Ballon d’Or award and was ranked number 14.

To cap an illustrious season, he won the most coveted crown in African football by being voted as the ‘African Footballer of The Year, 2024.’

The player, according to the Transmarkt, is worth €55m and he has scored 11 goals in the present season for his club, Atalanta.
