Makinde relishes Nigeria Cup victory
Mike Makinde made history on Saturday by joining the prestigious class of Nigeria Cup winners. The honour came through his victory in the 25th edition of the Nigeria Cup; a weeklong competition put together to celebrate the nation’s Independence anniversary.

Akeem Lawal’s 83-gross helped him into the fourth place. He won on Countback.
But it was Makinde’s time and Makinde’s day. Beaming with smiles, Makinde said there’s no better way to celebrate the nations Independence anniversary than winning a coveted trophy like the Nigeria Cup, saying, Freebet “its double celebrations for me”.
“It has always been my dream to win a big tournament like this and I have achieved my dream. This is my greatest achievement so far. It is historical and I can never forget this day”, said the elated Makinde.
