Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna says it will resume its home matches in the ongoing 2024/2025 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season on Sunday in Minna.

Alhassan Mohammed, Media Officer to the club’s Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Dada, said this on Wednesday during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna.

“We are delighted to announce that our NPFL home match against Nasarawa United will take place at the newly renovated Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium in Minna this Sunday.
“Following the league board’s approval, we are thrilled to return to our home stadium, which has undergone significant renovations under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, our number one supporter,” he said.
Mohammed invited fans of the club to celebrate the achievement and also join in cheering Tornadoes to victory in their match day two against Nasarawa United.
“We invite our passionate fans to join us in celebrating this milestone and call for their unwavering support. We want everyone to maintain peace and harmony before, during, and after the match.
“Let’s come together to make our home stadium a fortress and drive our team to victory”, he said.
NAN reports that Tornadoes had played their home matches at Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna, owing to the club’s inability to bring Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium, Minna to the NPFL standard.
