Nigerian cyclist Emmanuel Myam aka Emmiwuks who is on an adventure to go to the US by riding on his bicycle from Nigeria has arrived in Liberia.
Emmiwuks arrived at the Liberian border on Saturday on day 55 since his departure from Lagos almost two months ago.
The cyclist, after leaving Nigeria, has so far passed through the republic of Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire and has just crossed into Liberia all entirely by cycling on his bicycle which he has named ‘Little Eagle’.
The elated cyclist wrote on his verified social media handles on Saturday evening that “I’ve just arrived at the Liberian border, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. From Nigeria through Côte d’Ivoire, every pedal, every drop of sweat, every smile from strangers, every prayer you whispered for me has carried me here.
“I’ve officially set foot in Liberia, and the feeling is indescribable. From the dusty roads to the endless forests, from the border checks to the countless prayers, you all have been with me every single kilometer of the way.
This journey is bigger than one man on a bicycle. It’s a reminder that Africa is connected, that dreams have no borders, and that with courage and faith, we can go farther than anyone ever imagined.
“Liberia, thank you for welcoming me. The road ahead is still long, but we ride on with hope, strength, and unity,” He exulted.
The cyclist said that his mission is to raise awareness on the plight of the thousands of children displaced by conflicts and the vulnerable across Africa.
