Nottingham Forest release Emmanuel Dennis

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the departure of Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis following a mutual agreement to terminate his contract, the English Premier League club announced on Sunday. The decision marks the end of Dennis’ three-year association with the City Ground.

“Nottingham Forest can confirm that Emmanuel Dennis has left the Club following the mutual termination of his contract. We wish Emmanuel well for the future,” the club stated on its official website.

Dennis, 27, joined Forest from Watford in 2022, shortly after the club’s promotion to the Premier League. In his first season, he made nineteen league appearances, recording two goals and three assists. Despite these contributions, he struggled to secure a regular starting position.

The forward spent most of the 2023-24 season away from Nottingham Forest on loan. He initially joined Turkish Super Lig side İstanbul Başakşehir before returning to England mid-season to play for Championship club Watford, scoring four goals in seventeen league matches.

During the 2024-25 season, Dennis was loaned to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, where he made six appearances and recorded one assist. The club’s decision to release Dennis follows a period of limited playing time and multiple loan spells.
