Organisers to unveil Betsy Obaseki women football tourney’s logo tomorrow

Organisers of the maiden edition of the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament have revealed that the logo of the competition will be unveiled by 10.00 a.m. tomorrow at the new Banquet Hall, Government House, Benin.

A statement by the Head, Media & Communication Committee, Comrade Ebomhiana Musa, said the women football tournament would hold in Benin from September 26 to October 3, 2021.

According to the statement, 12 clubs have been invited from  across the country to participate in the tournament, which, amongst others, is aimed at encouraging women football development in Nigeria and prepare the clubs for the take off of the new  league season. 

In line with the pet project of Edo State First Lady, the tournament is also aimed at pulling out adult females from the streets, especially those who show talents for football.
