Clearwater Farms, a leading equestrian enterprise based in Kaduna, is set to make its Lagos debut at the 2025 Lagos International Polo Tournament, marking a significant step in its mission to elevate Nigeria’s equestrian landscape. With a reputation built over five decades, the firm is dedicated to providing world-class services and creating opportunities for enthusiasts to appreciate both the beauty of horses and the sport of polo.

The tournament, scheduled to run from 4 to 23 February at the Lagos Polo Club in Ikoyi, will see 33 teams competing for four major cups and six subsidiary awards. Clearwater Farms’ own polo team is slated to take part in the Lagos Open games on 4 and 7 February, and in the Lagos Low Cup on 18 and 19 February 2025.

“We are excited to participate in one of Nigeria’s most prestigious polo events. This opportunity allows us to showcase not only our horses but our team’s skill and the dedication and excellence that define Clearwater Farms,” said Brigadier General Kapeh Alwali Kazir (Rtd), Chairman, Clearwater Farms. “Our goal is to inspire greater appreciation for Polo and to offer unparalleled equestrian services that meet the needs of players, horse owners, and families across the country.”

Clearwater Farms is renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities, which currently accommodate over 60 horses and offer comprehensive stabling solutions for out-of-town owners. In addition to horse rentals, the company provides transportation services, training programmes for both children and adults, and a riding school tailored for beginners. A key element of its growth strategy is the expansion into Abuja and Lagos, as it seeks to develop new markets for equestrian sports. The firm’s veterinary clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools including specialised x-ray equipment, ultrasound, and scanners, while a mobile farrier unit ensures expert hoof care is delivered directly to horse owners.
