Philmoore is new PGA of Nigeria director

Tony Philmooore of Port Harcourt Club 1928 has been elected as the new director of the Professional Golfers Association of Nigeria (PGAN).

Tony Philmooore of Port Harcourt Club 1928 has been elected as the new director of the Professional Golfers Association of Nigeria (PGAN).

At the annual general meeting attended by 116 members at the multipurpose hall of the Port Harcourt Club 1928 on March 9, Philmoore was given the mandate to lead the association for the next two years. He took over from Samson Lawal.

Also elected as PGA of Nigeria officials for the next two years is Uchenna Ezebuiro from IBB Golf & Country Club, Abuja, the former tournament director, who is now Operation Director. He takes over from Matthew Lawrence.

Segun Obamuwe, also from IBB Golf and Country Club, Abuja, was returned unopposed as Finance Director, just as Johnbull Dangofa, Head Resident Pro at HSD Golf Club, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, became the new Tournament Director. He is a new entrant into the executive committee.

Also new in the committee is Musa Ayuba from IBB International Golf and Country Club, Abuja, who is now an Executive Committee Member II. His colleague, Aminu Baba, returned for a second term as Executive Committee Member I.
