The championship, which will be on a round robin basis, is the only phase of the 2021 Handball Premier league, which begins today and ends on November 4.

Other fixtures in the women class include, Defender Babes against Plateau Peacocks and Edo Dynamos against new entrant to topflight league, Confluence Queens.

Handball Federation of Nigeria President, Mr. Samuel Ocheho, said the aim of the league is to ensure that young players are unearthed and also given the platform to maximise their potential.

“The Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2021 will be better than previous seasons and for us as a federation, we thank Prudent Energy and Services for keeping faith with us for the past four years.

“This championship will afford us the opportunity to continue the discovery of new talents with great potential and help them to maximise it. We will not relent until we do so,” he stated.
