Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr, has called up two Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) players, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi’s Godwin Obaje and Enugu Rangers’ Chisom Egbuchulam, to take up the places of two Premiership clubs’ forwards, Chelsea’s Victor Moses and Watford’s Isaac Success due to injuries.

Nigeria has an all-important duel against Zambia in Ndola this weekend and the two players were among the Eagles listed for the match. But a letter from their clubs to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) revealed that Moses has hamstring while Success had a knock and will not be available for the qualifier.

Rohr has now extended invitation to two local based stars to replace the allegedly injured foreign-based players.

Obaje, who finished as the top scorer with 18 goals at the just concluded NPFL season, marshalled the Bauchi team to a third place finish, which gave them a place in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup competition.

Also, Egbuchulam ended the league with 15 strikes behind Obaje; prominent among them was a hat-trick he recorded against El-Kanemi Warriors. His team, the Flying Antelopes, defeated the Warriors 4-0, as they won the NPFL League in a grand style after 32 years of wait.
