Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is confident Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli will be fit to play against Brentford today. Goalkeeper David Raya is ineligible to face his parent club, while Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu are likely to remain out.
On their part, Ivan Toney is fit to start for Brentford, while Bryan Mbuemo could return from injury later this month. Ethan Pinnock, Aaron Hickey, Kevin Schade, Rico Henry, Josh Dasilva and Ben Mee are all still sidelined.
On head-to-head, Brentford’s only win against Arsenal in the past 10 meetings was the 2-0 home victory in their first Premier League encounter in August 2021 (D2, L7).
The Bees are aiming to win an away match against Arsenal for the first time in six attempts since April 1938.
