UUBO/ACAS shock Falana as BOA Lawyers League enters Week Four
UUBO/ACAS took the biggest casualty since their participation in the BOA Lawyers League when they defeated former champions, Falana & Falana in a week three game on Sunday.
Falana & Falana are among the most successful teams in the lawyers league, but they were beaten 2-1 by UUBO/ACAS, who owed their win to a ninth minute own goal by Falana’s Tayo Fashesin and a clinical finish by Rogba Payne.
Outside Falana’s slide, the other big teams lived up to their billings, with Olisa Agbakoba dispatching Templars 1-0, Lagos State Justice Ministry hammering Wole Olanipekun/Dele Adeshina 3-0, just as Pinheiro LP beat Olaniwun AJayi 2-0.
In other matches, DOA Law/Grey Chapel Legal defeated Punuka Attorney 2-0, Advocaat beat BA Law/Probitas Partners LLP 2-1, ALP/SPA Ajibade defeated George Etomi/FRA Williams 2-0, while Aluko & Oyebode hit Perchstone & Graeys LP 2-0.
Leading the table in Group A is Aelex, who have the same six points as second-placed this weekend at the hallowed grounds of the AstroTurf2000, ALP/SPA Ajibade, while UUBO/ACAS have moved to the top in Group B with seven points, one above second-placed Falana & Falana.
In Group C, SOOB/NICCOM LLP and Olisa Agbakoba are first and second respectively on six points, while Advocaat lead Group D with six points.
The league continues on Sunday with Perchstone & Graeys LP against ALP/SPA Ajibade, George Etomi/FRA Williams versus Aelex and Advocaat against DOA Law/Greychapel Legal.
Other matches will see Punuka Attorney against Banwo & Ighodalo, Olaniwun Ajayi against Templars and Olisa Agbakoba versus SOOB/NICCOM LLP.
Other teams, including Aluko & Oyebode, Pinheiro LP, and BA Law LLP/Probitas Partners LLP are not in action this weekend.
