AMACOS ’94 set pays condolence visit to Prof. Lai Oso’s widow

The 1994 set, Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS), Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic), Abeokuta, recently, paid a condolence visit to the widow and children of the late Professor Olayiwola Muraino Oso, the quintessential renowned communication lecturer and former Head of Department of Mass Communication of the school, who died in an accident on his way from the Delta State University.
Speaking on behalf of the Association, the President, Dr. Ladi Arowa said the late Prof. Oso was a man of great intellect, who touched many lives through his scholarly works.
He noted that during his life-time, Lai Oso, as he was popularly known, contributed in no small measure towards the body of knowledge, especially in the field of communication.
The Association’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Kayode Yeku said: “Although we are consoled by the many protégés he groomed, yet we are saddened by the manner he was snatched away, ‘fountain of knowledge that has suddenly dried up.’
Expressing appreciation on behalf of the family, his son, Moyosola Oso, thanked AMACOS 94 Set for the condolence visit and also commended the Association’s efforts for the recognition accorded him at the 2022 edition of the Teachers’ Appreciation Day in Abeokuta in commemoration of the 2022 International Teachers’ Day celebration.
His funeral rites will hold on July 13 and 14, 2023 in Sagamu, Ogun State.
