God’s assurance is produced by faith. This faith gives us confidence and access to His unlimited grace. We may be going through terrible situations; we may be mocked or persecuted; yet we can’t be ashamed, or live in despair. We are persuaded that God will perfect all good things concerning us. “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water” (Hebrews 10:22). As we believe in God, we must have a clean and true heart, devoid of wickedness, so that our physical and spiritual needs can be met by the Almighty God. Assurance is made full of hope.

We are assured of the everlasting love of Christ, which we experience on a daily basis, and we are beseeched to show the same love to mankind. Assurance is the effect of righteousness. A righteous man is always assured of God’s goodness because of his closeness to his Maker. Such a man will always overcome the devil’s diverse temptations as Jesus overcame, when He was on earth as human. Those who are godly are set apart by God. God relates with them. He speaks to them and He hears them when they call, making their faith more established. Whatsoever we ask from Him, we will receive inasmuch as we keep His commandments and do things that are pleasing in His sight. The assurance we have in Christ is a great privilege, which signifies that we are God’s elects, and we also look up to God for all that we do on earth. We have assurance of redemption by grace. We also have assurance of adoption (because the blood of Jesus has made us children of God), salvation, and eternal life. As sons of God, we know that when He appears, we will be like Him, and we see Him not to damnation, but to everlasting Joy. People, who believe that Jesus died for the sin of mankind, and resurrected to be with God the Father, will have eternal life. Unbelievers don’t have assurance of eternal life with Christ. No prophet can assure man of eternal life, except Jesus Who redeemed man with His blood. He also has a listening ear to hear whatever we ask in His Will. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39). Nothing must separate us from the unalienable love of God. Sin, difficulties and sickness cannot break the relationship we have with God,  because He created us, and we are going back to Him, to give account of our stewardship.

We have no doubt that He has prepared a place for us, where there shall be no more sorrow and pain. We are also aware that we have to unite with Christ and forsake the work of the flesh to reign with Him. Our body is the temple of the living God. We must be holy as our God is holy. We need to examine ourselves daily to be sure if we are still in faith. “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall” (1Corinthians 10:12). Be humble, be sober and do not boast. Always allow the Holy Spirit to lead. Those who love God keep His commandments, because they have hope with Christ. We are justified by faith and we have peace with God through His Son Jesus. We have the assurance that He is our comfort in time of affliction.
