A leader of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Evangelist Samuel Olumuyiwa Oshodi has said that the CCC Unification and Renaissance Mission is set to move the church forward.

A leader of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Evangelist Samuel Olumuyiwa Oshodi has said that the CCC Unification and Renaissance Mission is set to move the church forward.

At the end of a three-day conference organised by the CCC Unification and Renaissance Mission at CCC Covenant Cathedral Parish, Ago Palace Way Okota, Lagos, Oshodi noted that money, women and position are the main problem in the church.

He said that there is need for a change of attitude by members of the church.

“We got to be one fold and one shepherd. We must think and be ready to do things in a new way. We are tired of the rubbish. We must correct all correctable. Do not arrogate yourself unnecessary power. Do not be proud. Only Jesus can lift you up. Jesus was an embodiment of humility.”

The cleric who recalled that knowledge is power, urged the church to search for it now.

According to him: “I renounced my garment since January 27, 2009. God directed me to do so. Because God said that what you are wearing is death. God said that I should go back to my Evangelist that I was rightly given. I am not afraid of anybody, I am only afraid of God.”

The CCC Conference also resolved to move the church forward through prayer by joining hands together. Mr. Bayo Adekoya, who was the moderator of the Conference noted that the stakeholders of the conference had resolved to embark on prayers, as well as initiate universal week of reconciliation.

The General Coordinator of the Conference, Mr. Pepe Asebiomo noted that the CCC now has a new constitution, which is biding on all members.

He, however, regretted that hitherto people have bastadised the power of the church and most of the things done were unconstitutional since the demise of the founder of the church, Papa S.B. Oshofa.
